Privacy and what the site stores

The calculators run in your browser, the numbers you type are never sent to a server, and only aggregate traffic is counted.

Calculators run in the browser

The calculators run in your browser, and the numbers you enter are never sent to a server. Position size, margin and pip value are computed on your own device, so the amounts you type do not travel to us and are not stored in a database.

That means we cannot see your lot size, your account balance or the price you used. It also means the calculator works from the figures you supply, so the output is only as good as the inputs and the broker's current terms.

Cookies on this site and the job each kind does

Manila Floor uses a small number of first-party cookies and similar local storage entries, and each has a narrow purpose. A preference cookie remembers whether you have dismissed a notice or chosen a display setting, so the page does not repeat itself on every visit. A basic analytics cookie helps count visits and see which pages are used, without building a profile of you. These are set by Manila Floor itself, not by a broker, and they do not contain your name, your GCash details, or anything you typed into a calculator.

Broker cookies are different and are not set by Manila Floor. When you click a link that leads to FxPro, that broker may set its own cookies on its own domain, under its own cookie policy and its own consent controls. Those cookies are used by the broker for its own purposes, which can include remembering your session, measuring the performance of a referral, or supporting its affiliate programme. Manila Floor does not control those cookies, cannot read them, and does not receive the data they contain. You manage them through the broker's site and your browser settings.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser without losing the calculators, because the calculations run in the page and do not depend on a cookie to work. Blocking the preference cookie may mean a notice reappears, and blocking analytics cookies may reduce the accuracy of visit counts, but no calculation changes. The exact list of cookies and their lifetimes is available from your browser's developer tools on any page, and the broker-side list is set out in FxPro's own cookie policy. Clearing site data removes the first-party entries; it does not reach cookies already set on the broker's domain.

What Manila Floor keeps on its own servers and what never leaves your device

Manila Floor stores only the technical data needed to serve pages and keep basic traffic counts: the pages you request, the time of the request, your IP address in server logs, and aggregate visit totals. It does not store your name, email address, phone number, GCash number, bank account details, or any trading account credentials, because the site never asks for them. The calculators do not send the numbers you type anywhere, so peso amounts, lot sizes, and margin figures you enter stay in your browser and are not written to any database on our side.

The site does not keep a profile of you. There is no account system, no login, no saved watchlists, and no stored history of which calculators you opened. If you type a position size into a gold calculator, that number exists only in the page's memory until you close or refresh the tab. The only persistent item on your device is a small local storage entry that remembers basic display preferences, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings. Nothing about your funding method, your broker account, or your trading results is collected or stored by Manila Floor.

Server logs are kept for a limited operational period so the site can be kept running and abuse can be investigated; the exact retention window depends on the hosting provider's log rotation settings. Those logs contain standard web request information and are not combined with any calculator input. Because the site does not run an account system, there is no user database to breach and no stored portfolio to expose. If you never type personal information into a page, Manila Floor never holds any. The practical rule is simple: the numbers you calculate stay with you, and only ordinary page requests reach our servers.

How long each kind of data lasts and what actually deletes it

Server log entries last for the hosting provider's log rotation period, which depends on the provider's configuration and is not a fixed number set by Manila Floor. Aggregate visit counts last longer because they are totals rather than individual records, and they do not identify a person. Calculator inputs last only as long as the page is open, because they are never written to storage on our side. The practical deletion action for a reader is closing the tab, which discards the in-page values immediately.

On your device, the preference entry and any first-party analytics cookie persist until they expire or until you clear them. The lifetime of each cookie is visible in your browser's developer tools, and clearing site data removes them at once. Blocking cookies prevents new ones from being set. Nothing on the Manila Floor side waits for a request to delete calculator values, because those values were never sent. This means there is no retention queue for your position size, your lot size, or your margin figure; they are gone when the page is gone.

Broker-side retention is set by FxPro and is outside Manila Floor's control. Once you follow a link to the broker, what is kept and for how long is governed by the broker's own policy and its regulatory obligations, which can require records to be held for set periods. FxPro is licensed by the FCA (UK) and CySEC - not by the SEC of the Philippines. If retention matters to you, read the broker's policy before opening an account, and direct any deletion request for broker data to the broker rather than to Manila Floor.

Affiliate links: what Manila Floor earns and what it never sees

Some links from Manila Floor to FxPro are affiliate links, which means Manila Floor may receive a payment from the broker if a reader opens an account after following one. That payment does not change what you are charged by the broker and does not change the calculator outputs on this site. The link itself typically carries a referral identifier so the broker can attribute the visit. Manila Floor does not receive your account number, your balance, your trades, your deposits, or your identity from that arrangement, because those stay between you and the broker.

The affiliate relationship is disclosed so you can weigh it. It is not a recommendation to trade, and it does not make gold trading suitable for you. FxPro is licensed by the FCA (UK) and CySEC - not by the SEC of the Philippines, and that caveat applies to any account you open through a link on this site. The referral identifier tells the broker that a visit came from Manila Floor; it does not tell Manila Floor who you are. If you prefer not to be attributed, you can reach the broker directly rather than through a link here.

No payment from a broker buys a better spread, a different leverage cap, or a changed calculator result, because Manila Floor does not set those things. The leverage cap that applies to you is the cap of the entity serving the Philippines, and it is a cap rather than a setting to aim at; at that cap a 0.10-lot gold position needs about $85.50 margin. Affiliate payments support the site's running costs. They do not create a client relationship between you and Manila Floor, and they do not give Manila Floor any visibility into your trading account.

The third parties that can see a visit and what each one receives

Three kinds of third parties can be involved when you use Manila Floor: the hosting and infrastructure provider that serves the pages, any analytics service used to count visits, and FxPro when you follow a broker link. The host receives standard request data such as your IP address and the page requested, because it has to deliver the page. An analytics service, if present, receives visit-level data rather than calculator inputs. FxPro receives data only after you click through to its own site, and from that point its own privacy policy governs.

Manila Floor does not sell personal data and does not pass calculator inputs to any third party. The numbers you type into a gold calculator, including lot size and margin figures, are not transmitted to the host, the analytics service, or the broker. The host and analytics provider see a page request, not the contents of the form on that page. This separation is deliberate: the calculators are built to run in the browser, so there is no server-side record of what you calculated. A third party can see that a page was opened; it cannot see what you typed into it.

FxPro is the third party that receives the most when you choose to continue to it, because you are then on its site and subject to its own data practices, its own cookie policy, and its own regulator. FxPro is licensed by the FCA (UK) and CySEC - not by the SEC of the Philippines. Manila Floor has no control over what the broker collects after you leave. If you want to know exactly what the broker receives, read its privacy and cookie notices before opening an account, and use your browser's controls if you want to limit what is set on its domain.

Your rights over your data and the exact steps to exercise them

You can ask what Manila Floor holds about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, and object to a particular use. In practice the answer is usually that Manila Floor holds only server log entries and aggregate visit counts, because there is no account and no stored calculator input. To make a request, contact the site through the contact route published on Manila Floor and describe what you want; you do not need to give a trading account number, because the site never had one. Requests are handled against the data that actually exists.

The fastest way to remove local data is on your own device. Clearing cookies and site data in your browser deletes the preference entry and any first-party analytics cookie, and closing the tab discards anything held in the page's memory. That action is immediate and does not require a request to Manila Floor. For server logs, a deletion request can be made through the contact route, but note that log entries are not linked to a name and may be identifiable only by IP address and time, which limits what can be found and removed.

Broker-side rights are separate and are exercised with the broker. If you have opened an account with FxPro, its privacy notice sets out how to access, correct, or delete the data it holds, and its regulator framework shapes those rights. FxPro is licensed by the FCA (UK) and CySEC - not by the SEC of the Philippines, so the Philippine SEC is not the body that supervises that account. Manila Floor cannot delete data held by the broker, and the broker cannot delete data held by Manila Floor. Keeping the two requests separate avoids confusion.

Traffic counts and local storage

We keep only aggregate traffic counts, such as how many visits a page receives, and we do not use them to identify a reader. Local storage on your device holds your own preferences, such as a currency or lot setting, so the page behaves the way you left it.

You can clear local storage in your browser at any time and the site will forget those preferences. Clearing it does not affect your broker account, because the broker is a separate service with its own records.

Brokers set their own cookies

A broker sets its own cookies under its own policy once you follow a link to its site. We do not control those cookies and we cannot read them. The broker's privacy notice, not this page, governs what it collects when you open or fund an account.

If you follow an affiliate link, the broker may also record that the visit came from this site. That is part of how the referral works, and it does not give us access to your account details or your transactions.

FAQ

Common questions

What information does Manila Floor collect when I visit the site?

The site collects what you choose to send, such as a message through the contact form, plus basic technical data that any web server records to serve pages and keep the site working. It does not ask for your trading account password, your GCash details or your bank credentials, and you should never send those to the desk.

Does Manila Floor see my FxPro account or my funding details?

No. The desk does not have access to your FxPro account, your balance, your GCash transactions or your bank transfer records. Those sit with FxPro under its own privacy terms. If you follow a link from this site to FxPro, the information you give FxPro there is handled by FxPro, not by Manila Floor.

Does the site use cookies or tracking?

The site may use cookies or similar storage to keep pages working and to measure which guides are read. What is stored, and how long, depends on the tools in use at the time. You can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may then behave differently.

What happens to a message I send through the contact form?

A message sent through the contact form is read by the desk to answer your question and to check any error you report. It is kept only as long as needed for that purpose. Do not include account numbers, passwords or funding details, since the desk has no use for them and cannot protect them for you.

Does Manila Floor share my details with anyone else?

The desk does not sell reader details. Information may be shared with service providers that host or run the site, and with FxPro only where you yourself follow a referral link and provide your details there. What those parties do with data is governed by their own privacy notices, which you should read before signing up.
